Monal is functional, with clear interface, multi-task, multi-accounts and a good respect of privacy.
The only thing is that it dont seems to support mobiles protocols and it dont have extra functionalities like OTR.
Great Update, its getting better! Where can I donate? :-) Only had one crash yet on iPad wit 4.2b2 and the background feature is nice :)

Some bad moments
Comes up with a missing username error to be entered into the iPhone settings. That message is not explicit enough to get the app set up as where *exactly* do you want my username entered? And why not entered directly into the app as it is app specific... Sorry guys , Im off to look for another app that is more user friendly.
Monal would be the ideal IM client if it were not for its instability. Prepare for constant crashes, for example when switching into landscape mode.
Actually its not bad, except that it looses the connection to ejabberd again and again. Without automatic reconnect this is extremely painful.
Contacts list not visible, the authors do not seem to respond to bug reports
Very bad app, cant use this as your main jabber client app, cant even work in background, it disconnects all the time !
Please fix the issue cannot connect to jabber server running on OS X tiger, Talkonaut this is also here on AppStore works fine but this app cannot connect at all . Tried different settings same problem just disconnects
